Do You Possess Your Possessions?

Possessions are important, but they're not of first importance. They are suppossed to be something we possess, which is just another way of saying, they are things that we own, things that we control and use. Yet, not surprisingly, many people don't really possess their possessions - their possessions possess them. They are first controlled by the thought of owning them, and then possessed with the anxiety of losing them. So which is it? Are you master of your things? Or do they master you?
